2010 LAW ENFORCEMENT ENTRANCE (LEE) EXAM PREP COURSE STARTS SEPT. 21 ST:

***NEW***The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced that EB Jacobs, LLC has been awarded the contract this year to develop the State of New Jersey Entry-Level Law Enforcement Examination (LEE). In order for this new test to be valid, various items need to occur first. A job analysis will be coordinated with the company along with Civil Service and several law enforcement agencies around the State. This is a necessary component of the entire process. Because of the criticality of meeting established time lines for completion, officers from the surrounding areas will participate in the survey during the months of July and August. The information provided by those officers will have a direct and significant influence on the capabilities of the applicants for the LEE to be hired. This process is similar to the one held in the past for this type of test so there is really nothing new regarding this procedure. Once the information is tabulated, the company will use that information to develop a test plan. The exam is still tentatively scheduled to be given in the Fall of 2010, providing that there are no serious delays in all aspects of their plan.
Starting Tuesday, September 21st, a course to prepare individuals who want to be NJ Law Enforcement Officers will be given for this new exam. A major component of this course will be the LEE exam itself. In the past, this test has been administered involving three parts: The Ability Test; A Work Styles Questionnaire; and A Life Experience Survey. An orientation guide will be posted in the near future which will describe these areas in detail. During my one month long course, I will cover not only the exam itself, but all aspects of securing a job in law enforcement. Most other prep courses only teach a two day, 14 hour program which covers only the LEE exam itself for the same price or more. My four week course (32 hours total) will cover many different areas such as: The Civil Service Application; The Entry Level Law Enforcement Examination (LEE); What happens next; The CSC certification process; The law enforcement job application; The background investigation; The medical and psychological examinations; Drug Screening; The home interview; The oral interview; Reason for being rejected; The academy training along with other areas of importance to you. Homework will be assigned to assist you in your preparation. You will also have the opportunity to meet with prior successful students who will discuss and answer questions. I will also have representatives from the local police academy address the group and discuss what the academy experience is like and how to prepare for attending. Compare my course with the others who will simply offer a two day weekend program without much actual practice and very limited time for questions and answers. The decision is yours, why pay more and receive less. The teach, test, review format is what I use and continues to be well received by those who attend!
***NEW*** Make sure that you consider filling out all three Civil Service applications available on their website located at: http://www.state.nj.us/csc/ One for Police, another for Corrections and the third for Parole Officer Recruit. You need to successfully complete and file separate applications and send in the required fees to Civil Service prior to the deadline of August 31, 2010. This is different than in previous years where only one application was necessary. It is believed that Civil Service will still administer only one test however they are requiring that separate applications be submitted for these titles. The test is tentatively scheduled to be given sometime in the Fall of 2010 and I want to conduct training as close as possible to their actual test. As a result I will tentatively begin my program on Tuesday, September 21st, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. When considering a prep course, consider the cost and the amount of hours that the actual training will be given. This course is for those who truly want to receive more for less and that is why they will take my 4 week long course. A course application is available on this website on the Index Page and must be returned with your Postal Money Order. The early registration discount for this 32 hour program is $425. Call and register now to be included on my mailing list or for additional details since space is limited! Good luck!***
